About
At MilkLand, we do things differently. We’re more than a music events company—we’re a community of music lovers, DJs, and creatives who believe in the power of music to connect, uplift, and create lasting memories. Our mission is simple: to bring people together through inclusive, accessible, and meaningful music experiences.
Our Story
MilkLand was born during the Covid-19 pandemic, when closed venues left artists and music lovers disconnected. In response, we transformed a soon-to-be-demolished garage into a soundproof studio and intimate venue—a safe space where people could gather, share, and reconnect through music.
What started as a lifeline quickly grew into a registered not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC), using music as a force for good.
What We Do
We create immersive events, festivals, and club nights that blend music, visuals, and atmosphere. From house and techno to drum and bass, we showcase local talent while delivering unforgettable experiences.
Beyond events, we run sensory-focused music experiences designed for individuals who face barriers to the traditional music scene. By combining sound, light, and interactive elements, we create inclusive environments that support wellbeing, creativity, and connection.
Our Mission
We use music and visual arts to engage, uplift, and unite communities. Everything we do is built around inclusion—creating spaces where everyone feels welcome, regardless of background or ability.
As a not-for-profit, all proceeds are reinvested into community projects, supporting emerging artists and bringing music to those who might not otherwise have access to it.

Why MilkLand
Community First – We create a welcoming space where everyone belongs, from seasoned DJs to first-time partygoers.
Inclusive & Accessible – Our events are designed for all, with a strong focus on supporting those who face barriers to the traditional music scene.
Immersive Experiences – More than parties, our events blend music, lights, and interactive elements into something truly unforgettable.
Supporting Local Talent – We champion emerging artists, giving them a platform to grow while strengthening the local scene.
Sustainable Vision – We’re reducing our impact with initiatives like our solar-powered mobile sound system, bringing music to communities in a greener way.
Our Vision for the Future
Our vision goes beyond parties. We dream of creating a music experience that can travel to schools, care homes, and communities, offering a festival-style atmosphere to those who don’t have easy access to live music. This includes individuals with special needs, isolated individuals, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
We’re already working on our next big project – the MilkLand Mobile Sound System. By converting an old electric milk float into a mobile music unit, we plan to take the joy of live music on the road, from John o’ Groats to Land’s End, stopping off in local communities to bring the magic of music to those who need it most. It’s an ambitious journey, but with the support of our incredible community, we know it’s possible.
Our Success So Far
MilkLand has already accomplished so much in a short time. Our first fundraiser was a massive success, raising over £2,300, which will go directly into supporting our community projects. With the launch of our first three-day festival, we showcased more than 80 local DJs across three stages, uniting music lovers from all walks of life in a celebration of creativity, positivity, and unity.
